Our Approach

We work together with you to help you decide what the best course of action is for your health whether you want to get rid of pain or protect your body from future problems, we are passionate about what we do and how we do it.

TRACTION/SPINAL DECOMPRESSION

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a direct hands on approach used by our Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and Registered Massage Therapists to address soft tissue damage, and structural joint restrictions. We use manual therapy as one main component of our care. We pride ourselves in the time we've spent in extra courses to cultivate our abilities to provide a broad range of hands-on care helping everyone from infants to older people. Manual therapy promotes proper tissue regeneration and relaxation.

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)

IMS is a specific needling technique targeting tight muscles causing acute and chronic pain. Our Physiotherapists utilize this technique with various conditions that are caused by unwanted muscle tension. IMS is effective in stimulating the nervous system to release neurological signals that continue cause soft tissue to be taut.

Winback Tecar Therapy

Winback Tecar Therapy is a high frequency current therapy that can target hard and soft tissue. It is a highly adaptable modality that can be used concurrently with manual therapy with very few contraindications to care. Our Chiropractors and Physiotherapists use this to care for acute, subacute and chronic issues. Winback Tecar Therapy is effective for reducing pain immediately and improving range of motion.

Pelvic Health

Physiotherapy

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is the evaluation and treatment of the pelvic floor, to prevent and help women recover from pelvic dysfunction which contributes to many symptoms such as incontinence, pelvic pain, low back or hip pain, and pelvic organ prolapse (the displacement of the bladder, bowel or uterus). Internal pelvic floor assessment is recommended during pregnancy after the 1st trimester, postpartum at 6 weeks and before considering any pelvic health corrective surgery or 12 weeks post operative.

AMP SRC Percussion Therapy

AMP SRC Percussion Therapy is a procedure targeting unpleasant muscle tension. It reaches deep into tissue with deep vibration to decrease pain, improve blood circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage. Our Chiropractors and Physiotherapists will use this for a broad range of issues. It helps promote recovery of sore muscles and helpful in conjunction with manual therapy.

Spinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal Decompression Therapy is a safe and non-invasive treatment to reduce pressure on vertebral discs, ligaments, nerves, and muscular tissue. Our Triton DTS decompression unit helps with disc herniations, stenosis, sciatic nerve pain, and spondylosis. Our Chiropractors and Physiotherapists will use this mainly for pain that presents with a nerve origin.

Post-Operative Physiotherapy

Post-Operative Physiotherapy is a supervised treatment program to help you recover from surgery due to injuries such as fractures, rotator cuff tears, ACL repairs, hip/knee replacements, achilles tendon ruptures, and ankle reconstruction. Our Physiotherapists work in conjunction with your surgeon to help you recover your ability to work and do physical activities. Care before and after surgery is excellent for you if you are hoping to get the most out of your quality of life.

Laser Acupuncture

Laser Acupuncture is one technique our Acupuncturist utilizes as a non-needling modality if you are needle phobic. Laser Acupuncture works well for muscle, joint and nerve pain. You can still get the benefit of care without the use of acupuncture needles. Our acupuncturist is well versed with many tools within the scope of practice.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is utilized by our acupuncturist.  Special cups are placed on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. The suction & negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system. Cupping is used to relieve back & neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, and rheumatism.

Sport Injury Care

Our practitioners use specific assessment and treatment tools to care for and prevent injuries related to your sports and physical activities. We enjoy working with all athletes, whether you're a professional mixed martial arts fighter, a high-level lacrosse player, or a weekend warrior, we can take care of your injuries affecting your ability to perform.

Orthotics

Orthotics help reduce stress and tension through your feet, which can be the primary cause of many problems like planter fasciitis, metatarsalgia, and patellofemoral pain syndrome. Our pedorthist has his own full in-house custom manufacturing facility giving us control and oversite of our product.

Child and Youth Counselling

Child and youth counselling is helpful for coping with school anxiety and stuck or helpless feelings. Our counsellor utilizes cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, solution based therapy, and a mindful approach to work together with you and your child's needs.
